Meet Forrest Galante, The Steve Irwin Of Recently Extinct Species. ‘Extinct’ doesn’t mean much to Galante.

Forrest Galante and Mark Romanov capture incredible crocodile footage while wearing suits that mimic scales and block the body's natural electric current. 

It is rare to catch a lobster that weighs more than 3 pounds, so when biologist, Forrest Galante, caught this 12 pound 70-year-old crustacean he took it home 

The Tortoise, presumed extinct since 1906, has been rediscovered on a remote volcanic island in the Galapagos, during an  expedition for the series Extinct or Alive. 

For his Animal Planet special, Tasmanian Tiger, Galante trekked to Tasmania, which he described as “a challenging environment.”

Forrest Galante decided to swim with an 8-foot hammerhead shark their group spotted from their boat near Anacapa Island, off Ventura, and videotape the experience.

The Zanzibar leopard was officially declared extinct 25 years ago, but the classification has been called into question after Gakante caught the elusive predator on camera.

Galante encountered a Banded Sea Krait, considered to be one of the most venomous snake in the world. The creature's venom is ten times stronger than a Cobra's.

Forrest has been to more than 40 countries in his attempt to conquer the planet’s wildlife. He’s been bitten by a venomous snake and even survived a plane crash.
